On Call Alerts is built to be easy to adopt — for the hospital, for the administrator, and for every doctor and nurse on the floor. Here's exactly how it works.
Once your hospital is registered with On Call Alerts, an administrator account is created for your designated IT or operations lead. From there, the admin can onboard your entire team — doctors, nurses, and general staff — all from a single web portal. There's no paperwork, no IT project, and no lengthy rollout. Most hospitals are fully set up and live within a day.
On Call Alerts is available as a free download on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. There's nothing to purchase, no licence per device, and no complicated installation. Staff simply search for On Call Alerts, tap install, and they're ready to go. The app works on any modern iOS or Android smartphone.
Security is at the heart of how On Call Alerts works. Every user is personally invited by the hospital administrator. When a staff member signs up, they enter a one-time passcode (OTP) that was sent to their work email as part of their invitation. Without a valid OTP, access is simply not possible — ensuring that only verified, authorised personnel can ever join your hospital's network.
When a patient is brought in, the triage nurse or ER doctor opens the app and creates a page alert in seconds. They select the relevant alert groups or specific doctors, set a priority level, and add the patient's age, gender, location, and clinical presentation. The right people are notified instantly on their phones — and can confirm they're attending, or flag that someone else has it covered, with one tap.
Hospitals pay a single monthly or annual subscription fee. There's no limit on the number of page alerts you can send or receive — page as often as your patients need, without watching a counter. Your team can focus entirely on care, not costs.
Prefer to commit for the year? Annual subscribers receive a discounted rate compared to the monthly price. Either way, the full service — including the administrator portal, audit trail, and analytics dashboard — is always included.
